Boom goes the campfire in Woodbury neighborhood
Woodbury Bulletin
Gas may be the lazy man’s way of lighting a campfire, but it sure proved efficient at drawing attention last week in Woodbury.
A resident called police at 10:12 p.m. Feb. 10 to a Woodlane Drive cul-de-sac to report an explosion in the area. The man reported hearing the explosion and seeing flames from behind his house. Officers arrived and met with the homeowner who said he had used gasoline to start the recreational fire.
“He said he must have used more than needed,” the report states.
The fire had died down by the time police arrived; a verbal warning was issued.
